The atmosphere was filled with excitement and hope as dozens of young people gathered at the Engausa Tech Hub, Farm Center, Kano, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, for the orientation of a new Skills Acquisition Training program.
Organized by AHAHKAZ Health and Empowerment Initiative in partnership with Engausa Tech Hub, the training aims to empower Kano’s youth with life-changing skills that will open doors to entrepreneurship, innovation, and decent employment.
The orientation session was not just about logistics; it was a platform to inspire. After the opening prayer and introductions, participants listened attentively to presentations on the vision and mission of AHAHKAZ and the innovative opportunities available through Engausa Tech Hub.
One of the most impactful moments was a short talk on drug use and misuse, where participants were cautioned about the dangers of substance abuse and encouraged to embrace healthier choices.
The expectations of the training were also clearly outlined ranging from technical and entrepreneurial skills to personal discipline and teamwork. Many participants expressed enthusiasm during the interactive Q&A session, reflecting the eagerness of young people to learn and transform their futures.
Closing with a group photograph, the event symbolized unity, collaboration, and the beginning of a journey toward empowerment.
For the organizers, this initiative is more than a program it is an investment in the future of Kano’s youth. By providing them with the right tools and mindset, AHAHKAZ and Engausa Tech Hub hope to build a generation that is not only employable but also capable of creating opportunities for others.
