AHAHKAZ Health and Empowerment Initiative, in collaboration with Engausa Tech Hub, has commenced a Skills Acquisition Training program for youth in Kano with an orientation session held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Engausa Tech Hub, Farm Center, Kano.
The orientation, which marked the official start of the program, featured a series of activities designed to inspire and prepare participants for the weeks ahead. Proceedings began with an opening prayer and self-introductions, allowing both participants and facilitators to connect.
Representatives of AHAHKAZ Health and Empowerment Initiative provided an overview of the organization’s mission and commitment to empowering communities through health and skill development. Engausa Tech Hub also highlighted its innovative programs and youth-focused initiatives that promote creativity and technological advancement.
A key highlight of the session was a short talk on the dangers of drug use and misuse, emphasizing prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. Participants were also briefed on the expectations of the training, which will cover practical skills aimed at improving employability and self-reliance among young people.
The session ended with a lively question-and-answer segment and a group photograph.
According to the organizers, the training is designed to equip Kano youth with relevant skills that can help them build sustainable livelihoods while steering them away from social vices.
